Macquarie University Law Society continues to closely engage with Macquarie University concerning the impact of university policies and guidelines on our ability to facilitate MULS events and initiatives. The Society is committed to updating and informing MULS members via the MULS website, email, and Facebook. MULS will continue to take the following precautions to ensure a safe environment for all attendees:
Readily available hand sanitiser and antibacterial wipes at all in-person events.
Requesting all members who feel unwell not to attend MULS events.
Live streaming MULS events and initiatives where appropriate.
Ensuring that social distancing protocols at MULS events align with government and university guidelines.
We are incredibly excited about this upcoming year and look forward to welcoming members back to the events and initiatives. Please continue to remain safe, and feel free to reach out to Mikaela at president@muls.org if we can be of assistance.
President’s Welcome
Hello everyone!
I’m Rachel Duong and I have the privilege of leading the Macquarie University Law Society as the President in 2025. The Macquarie University Law Society (MULS) is a student-led organisation dedicated to providing Macquarie University Law students and our members with meaningful opportunities to develop professional skills and explore interests.
Our commitment is to deliver high-quality events and initiatives that build a connected, engaged and professional student community. Our mission is to showcase the talent of Macquarie University Law School students while equipping them with the skills to confidently pursue their careers.
This year marks a significant milestone as MULS celebrates its 50th anniversary. For us, it’s a defining moment to reflect on our history, celebrate our excellent legal education and strengthen our legacy as a society. To contribute to the 50 lively years of MULS, we are expanding our events and initiatives to enhance our students' experiences this year. We are broadening our career events and publications to educate students aspiring to achieve commercial law and public interest careers. We are doubling our social justice initiatives to respond to the growing demand for lawyers who can lead social change. Recognising the diverse needs of our student community, we are also strengthening engagement with our Juris Doctor and postgraduate cohorts.
We invite you to take part in a historic year of MULS and celebrate the excellence of our community with us.
